So everyone has heard of this movie at least once: Punk Rock Holocaust.
It's a slasher flick witha killer soundtrack, and the highest on-screen
body count in movie history.
The movie followed the 2003
Vans Warped Tour, and documented the deaths of every band on the
tour in one way or another, and even went as far as having the lead
singer fo Simple Plan sing for the Used once.
Seeing as I'm a fan of most
any type of movie, I was hoping that this movie would become one
of my all time favorites. And sure enough, it definately became
a favorite.
The productions quality
is great, and it's very cut and dry. Think a high school movie class,
and that one student that always goes above and beyond. Well, the
production crew of this killer indie flick is that above and beyond
child.
Personal favorite death
is Bert McKracken's death - He heads off witha chick to make out,
picks up a few fans, and steals some emo kid's girlfriend. He ends
up with 5 chicks, all making out with him at the same time, and
they get slaughtered together. It was hot.
All in all, I'm not going
to go into details just to keep myself from spoiling the movie.
Does the movie have a plot? Yes. Yes it shockingly does. And it's
a quite good one as well.
Just two words: Brutal Enigma.
Enjoy.
