SYNOPSIS
Joe Barry. The name is synonymous with legendary rock and roll. And bad behavior. Few knew the tortured man behind the music, who struggled with personal and professional demons, giving up on music several times to pursue careers as diverse as pimp, preacher and mercenary. This documentary weaves the stories of his songs into the colorful tapestry of a remarkable life. It transports you back in time to a place that is gone forever - the richly-colorful 1950's and 60’s music scene of South Louisiana and Southeast Texas. A time when American rock and roll was forming and rules were begging to be broken.
Years of reckless living took it's toll on Joe's body. But these years held stories which he ached to tell one last time. In 2002, Tuff City Records moved a studio into his living room. Joe's failing health forced him to limit his singing to one minute intervals - the album took two long years to complete. But Barry vowed to finish it, even if it was the last thing he did.

The fish market at South Street, has been a working family market since 1822. Though there have been threats of a move for more than a century, the market has managed to remain in it's original location beneath the Brooklyn Bridge for 183 years. In April of 2005, the crew of Up at Lou's Fish began filming, believing the market to be moving within a few weeks. It was to be a last ditch attempt to capture the last days of this historic market. In reality, the men and women of the fish market faught to if not save the market, then to be relocated on their own terms. In the end, the market remained on South Street until November 2006, and the film crew, 2 years later, was still there with them. The true story became one of tradition, hard work and pride, as the fish mongers haul heavy boxes in frigid weather, and recount market stories from generations back. In a city that is always changing, the only thing left to do is to tell its stories…

SYNOPSIS
Adapted from the stage play of the same name, Jody is a rock opera in the tradition of films like Tommy, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The story follows Jody, who is born a hermaphrodite. Unwanted and unloved by it's parents and younger brother and sister, Jody sets off for the big city on it's 18th birthday, only to discover that there are many others hermaphrodites happily co-existing with those with normal genitalia. Jody joins a band called the Shims, and together they fight for hermaphrodite's rights. Written, performed by, and starring members of the band Dingleberry Dynasty, Backseat Conceptions is currently seeking completion funds for this film.
