Backseat Production: Harry Connick Jr. Christmas on AOL SESSIONS

The Backseat Team recently worked with Space Monkey Studios to create a Harry Connick Jr. Christmas Special for AOL Live. The shoot was produced by Backseat's Nick Esposito for Space Monkey and directed by Space Monkey's Doug Spangenberg.

The Live Concert took place in Our Lady of Victory Church in Bronx NY, where Harry Connick Jr. got his start singing in the Church's Choir at a young age. The return was a special one as Connick performed a mini-concert of holiday songs for fans to coincide with the release of his latest Christmas album, 'What a Night!', currently #1 on the Billboard Charts.

Presented by AOL, you can check out seven songs at AOL Sessions by clicking below:

Sat, Dec 13th - Black Landlord and Friends - Village Green Presents

Black Landlord
"This is a project started by Maxx (formerly of the Goats and Incognegro). It is a TRUE collective. The idea began 4yrs ago with friends and super-electro producers Leonard de Leonard and Olaf Hund. They worked together in Paris and Berlin, writing songs and daydreaming about how to bring talented people together. So, after learning German, some ghetto French and drinking great beer, Maxx returned home to Philly and put a live band together and the end result was a diverse mix of Philly All-Stars."

FILMMAKERS, CREW-MEMBERS, BUSINESS OWNERS, STUDENTS, FILM LOVERS...

HELP SAVE OUR TAX CREDITS!

Philly and Pennslyvania are now in the second year of it's successful $75 million dollar tax credit program for the film industry thanks to the work of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office. The program creates a 25% tax credit to films that spend at least 60 percent of their budget in the state. But state Rep. Ron Marsico (R-Dauphin) wants the cuts repealed immediately, and it will happen unless you help out!

Rep. Ron Marsico..."We need to repeal this tax credit immediately, before the Commonwealth loses any more money. Film tax credits are bad tax policy, especially in a tight budget year, and an irresponsible priority for the sake of a photo-op of a political leader and a Hollywood star or starlet." ...read full press release

It is unfortunate that Rep. Marsico does not understand how the tax credit is crucial to the ongoing and growing film industry in Pennsylvania. We need your assistance in helping Rep. Marsico understand that the tax credits are important to you, your livelihood and your businesses. It is important to note that the program takes at least a year and a half to show results. Many films that applied the first year have not yet wrapped production and are still not in the statistics for revenues spent in the state, which is why the tax credit appears as a loss.

We urge you to:

1. Contact Representative Marisco and tell him how important PA's $75 Million Tax Credit Program is to you! Email him here!

2. Call Your Legislator and urge them NOT to Co-Sponsor, Support or Vote For any legislation to repeal the Tax Credits! Find your Legistlator here!

3. Forward this message to your Colleagues, Family, Friends & Classmates who reside in East Hanover Twp, Lower Paxton Twp, South Hanover Twp, West Hanover Twp (Dauphin County) to call Rep. Marsico to voice their support of keeping the Tax Credits!
